    Sarah is a doctoral candidate in Music Theory at the University at Buffalo, studying under the direction of Dr. Richard Plotkin. Her interests include multimedia analysis and the works of Arnold Schoenberg.

    Melody Marchman Schade is a doctoral candidate in Historical Musicology at the University at Buffalo, SUNY and is studying under the direction of Dr. Michael Long. Her interests include 15th-century sacred polyphony and musical borrowing in 20th-century art music.

    David holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Music in Composition from Houghton College and an M.A. in Music History from the University at Buffalo, SUNY, where he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Musicology. He is an active violist and composer in the local community. His academic interests include film and television music, intertextual studies, semiotics, and intersections of music and philosophy.


  2. Yi-Cheng Daniel Wu Mail
    Wesleyan University

    Yi-Cheng Daniel Wu completed his BA (2002) at National Taiwan University of Arts in Vocal Performance and his MA (2007) and Ph.D. (2012) in Music Theory at the University at Buffalo. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Wesleyan University, Middletown CT. His doctoral dissertation focuses on the topics of harmony, voice-leading, and pitch contour in 20th-century music. Additionally, he has presented his papers and findings at several major theory conferences—such as MTSNYS (Ithaca, 08), Royal Music Association (UK, 08), European Music Analysis (Italy, 11), and MTMW (Ann Arbor, 12). Aside from music theory, he is also interested in piano performance. In the Spring of 2009, he received first prize for the 2008-2009 UBSO Concerto Competition, in which he performed the first movement from Saint-Saëns’s Second Piano Concerto.

    Mr. Jensen is completing a Master of Arts in Music Theory at the University at Buffalo.  Also holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, his interests include the mathematical properties of music and, therefore, the potential for computer-aided research of tonal and atonal structures.

    Megan’s awards and honors include 2008 "Emerging Composer" by the New York Arts Ensemble competition, winner of the 2007/2008 New Music Project Call for scores, and her duo, "and of the same," was performed on a new music series at the Munich Philharmonic Gasteig. Her music has been recorded by the JACK string quartet and Arditti cellist Lucas Fels. Her piece Fragrance, was recently premiered by CSO and ICE cellist Katinka Kleijn as part of the “Oil-free blush” commission project. She graduated from Northwestern cum laude, with honors, and is currently pursuing a PhD at SUNY Buffalo under David Felder.

    Philip Meir Siblo-Landsman Mail

    Philip received a B.A. in Musicology and Music Composition at Bard College. He studied Musicology with Christopher Gibbs and Peter Laki and composition with George Tsontakis, Keith Fitch and Kyle Gann. 

    He is currently pursing an M.A. in Musicology and an M.L.S. in Library Information Science at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. His academic interests include: American Folk Music, Open Access media, the history of Music Libraries, 20th century music, and the preservation of sound recordings.
